Is Blood Really Thicker Then Water?

Is Blood Really Thicker Then Water?
for me and alot of people this saying is true but all the way threw my life a lot of people say “blood is thicker then water” as in referring to families are going to be closer to then your friends.

In a lot of situations this is can true but also in a lot of situations this is false….for example a child could go threw there life getting abused by her father….now there blood are they not? I have to say with out my “water” (friends) I don’t think I would be the person I am today….yes my (blood) family such as my mum and dad and my bro have had a lot of influence defining me as a person but my environment and my friends shaped me…I rely heavily on my family I care about every single one of them and I am very grateful I have them in my life…

Let me ask you this question…..

Who do you go to when u have a fight with a family member?
Your closest mates rite?

Who do you turn to when u are also having a fight with a friend?
Another friend yes?

The funny thing is most of my mates I already count as family especially close mates of mine. Like there my brothers from anuva muva… lol…

The definition to family is: set of relations
The definition to friends are: person someone likes and chooses to spend time with

Family gets u out of trouble, family is someone who takes u in when your having a bad time for free, family gives you spare money to make sure you get home, family is someone worth standing up for and backing up, family is someone you care about and they care for you.

I don’t care if there was 5 of my family members and 20 guys and we were arguing I will still stand with them side by side any day…and probably get my head kicked in but at least I know I would be getting my head kicked in next to them and not being a coward and running away, I mean if they decided to leg it then yeh lol ill be running as quick as I could too but if they all decided to stay then so would i…..that is what family does for one another but say if there was blood relations who are in need of help or something but has abused you or done nothing for you you have to ask the question would they stand next to you or do you think they deserve your help, Family stand next to each other…they protect on another….just think back to WW2 most of there family was back home…but I bet u they developed there own family looked out for one another cried when one died….

For me the saying "blood is thick then water" meaning blood relations are more importent then outsiders...that means shit to me…blood has nothing to do with it…family is all about looking out and spending time with one another…. I could be blood related to an abusive father does not mean his my family…which also reminds of another stupid saying “you can choose your friends but not your family”
That is also a load of crap of course you can decide to have “set of relations” child services CHOOSE families for kids all the time, for me family is some one “you choose to have and like to spend time with to have set relations with.

(It states: "Blood is thicker than water." This phrase has completely lost its original, covenant-related, meaning. Today, it is interpreted as meaning that blood-related family members are to be considered as more important than anyone else. However, the original meaning is, "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb," or, "My relationship with those to whom I am joined in covenant is to be considered of more value than the relationship with a brother with whom I may have shared the womb.")
